What counts as visiting?
There is no official rule, and the arguments about layovers, cruise stops and border crossings are older than any app. This page does not impose an answer and neither does Stamp Hunt: you decide what goes on your map.
What the app does add is honesty about the evidence. A country you tapped and a country you scanned an inked stamp for both count - they just do not look the same.
